【Introduction】

The series consists of two volumes: Taiwan Literature Reader《臺灣文學讀本》 and Learning through Taiwan Culture《臺灣文化教材》. The interaction between these two volumes creates a complementary relationship. The cultural textbook introduces one facet of the cultural theme and reinforces learners’ understanding through classroom activities, while the literature reader provides selected excerpts on the related theme. In addition to guiding readers to appreciate the beauty of Taiwanese literature, it also helps learners experience the cultural symbols within the texts from another perspective through background introductions and in-depth discussion questions.

Taiwan Literature Reader《臺灣文學讀本》 is suitable for international students at the TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) Advanced (B2) and Proficient (C1) levels.
